As a 29-year resident of Hudson, Jim Stifler has been the City of Hudson’s Chief Economic Officer since 2016.

After a successful 33-year career as a Wall Street executive, Jim relies on his extensive private sector business experience and his strong ties in the community to move the City forward.

In addition to new business attraction and retention, Jim provides strategic oversight to Hudson’s rapidly
growing, city - owned, fiber-optic broadband business.

Jim’s most gratifying work as Chief Economic Officer has been growing Hudson’s bias to innovation. Much of
Hudson’s corporate job growth has been from new companies he describes as “future – friendly”. Companies
that are on- trend and aimed squarely at the future.

Working in conjunction with Hudson’s Chief Innovation
Officer, Hudson was fortunate to be recognized as one of the Intelligent Community Forum (ICF) Top7
Intelligent Communities in the World for 2019 and 2020.

As part of his City role, Jim serves on the boards of Destination Hudson and Hudson Area Chamber of
Commerce. Outside of Hudson, Jim works with exciting start-ups and scale-ups as a Burton D. Morgan
Mentor at JumpStart Inc. JumpStart is a business acceleration venture in Cleveland, Ohio.
